ONE DAY HIKE // Non- Summit bound climb (full Day)

RAU FOREST RESERVE: Nature trail ( half day walking)
Rau forest reserve is ground water forest which is famous for the endemic rear tree osystigma msoo and ( Mvule wa Picha) Oldest milicia excilisa in moshi town, loacated 3,23 S 37.22 E . 3 km South East of most. The forest is on the gentle south facing alluvial base of mt Kilimanjaro at an altitude of 730 m and 765 m. The forest established 1910 and declared under GN 127 of 25/5/1951 to be forest reserve and in 1967 it was suggested that the reserve should be given Park status to protect endemic oxystigma msoo and provide a creation area for Moshi town.
The forest is potential key ecosystem in moshi town to different endemic rear tree species, forest birds, like mounrning dove, paradise fly catcher, silver chicked hornbill, fish eagle, weavers, small mammals like dikdik and monkey and beautiful Black and White colobus monkeys vervet monkey and Blue monkey on the south edge of the forest tourist will be astonishing with view of rice plantation (moshi chini irrigation scheme) with many wet birds on shambas. CULTURAL TOUR & NATURAL WALK (5-6 HRS)

Around 20 -30 minutes outside of Moshi are Materuni waterfalls. As this trip is so close by it is ideal for those people with limited time but who would still like to see some of the nature and beauty that this region of Tanzania has to offer. These falls are smaller than the previously described Ndoro, but still pretty impresive at 150 meters high and definitely a sight worth seeing.
From Materuni Village we will walk some 30 minutes to the waterfall. The walk itself is extremely interesting, as you will see some smaller waterfalls and lots of waterways which are part of the irrigation system of the local farmers who grow coffee, bananas and many other fruits and vegetables.
At the waterfall, you can even refresh in the cool and crystal clear water – don’t forget to bring your swimwear! Here you will also break for lunch before doing a short tour of Materuni village to see the typical life of the Chagga tribe. The village, located at a height of around 1300 m (4300 ft) above sea level is set within a dramatic landscape of high rises and deep valleys, all covered by tropical rain forest.
HOT SPRINGS CULTURAL TRAIL (FULL DAY)
The safaris starts with a visit to a Maasai boma, where you can see the traditional Maasai of way of life for the Maasai men life is in three stages or age –sets child hood, warrior hood and elder hood, although each clan has a ‘laibon’ or spiritual leader at its head, his election being one of the important ceremonies. Elaborate preparation preceeds any celebration other occasions being circumcision, weddings and a new age group becoming ‘moranis’ ( warriors), food forms an important part of the spirited bonhomine of festivities, roast meat, milk, grain and bllod the main items.

LAKE CHALA ( A CRATER LAKE FULL DAY)
Is located about 1 hrs drive from Moshi town, although situated outside the Park, the lake is an important geological link to the Park, it draws its water via underground streams that originates from Kilimanjaro, Part of this lake is on the neighboring country (Kenya).
TOWN TOUR TRAIL (HALF DAY)
Moshi town was military station for Germany during 1890 knowing “sleeping station” under 1st Lient Merker, on 1906 become the district office, Rail reach in Moshi in 1911 moshi was the first district to have classes during the coffe regime in 1960s. The town trail will unveil the historical site. NGORONGORO SAFARIS Crater (FULL DAYS) 190-215km
This day trip tour gives you the opportunity to visit the famous world famous Ngorongoro Crater, nicknamed the eighth wonder of the world. The Crater is a world’s largest unbroken caldera which hosts varieties of animals includes the rare black Rhino.
Once you have reached the Ngorongoro gate, located approximately 275km outside of Moshi, you will descend into the Crater for a 6 hour game drive. During this time you will break for lunch at Ngoitokok swamp, a Hippo pool. In this idyllic picnic spot, you get the opportunity to take in and picture the beautiful landscape that surrounds you.
As well at the Black Rhino, the crater is home to Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeests, Buffalos and Impalas. The carnivores that inhabit the crater are Lions, Leopards, Cheetah, Hyena and other small cats.
ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK (FULL DAYS) Distance: 60 km
After breakfast you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (30 km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1-day safaris or tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m), the notably different coloured Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago!
We will enjoy lunch at the Momela wildlife lodge and do an exciting morning game drive and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife which could be seen includes African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. Late afternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari adventure. The group should tip the tours guide around $20 for the day. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our tour package services.
