“There is nothing quite like experiencing Tanzania’s wildlife while hiking through parks and reserves.”
Because many of Tanzania’s national parks have strict rules regulating or prohibiting travel on foot, walking safaris are less commonly done but are a fantastic way to experience Tanzania’s wildlife and vistas. Costs are higher than classic safaris, because you’ll often have mobile tented camps and a crew moving them around each day as you hike camp to camp. However, it’s also possible to do short half or one day walking safaris in Ngorongoro Highlands, as well as border areas of some other national parks. Some of these areas offer unique cultural interaction opportunities with local tribes. Please contact us to plan a customized walking safari itinerary.
